I'm Jay and I am a food accessibility advocate committed to helping disadvantaged communities go from surviving to thriving. Growing up a military kid I lived in many different socio economic households that had one thing in common: the humans inside the home all needed to eat to be whole daily. I founded Keeping Us Secure & Prosperous to focus on the communities that need support most. My work focuses on creating holistic programs and collaborations that help the community get emergency, in the moment help, linked to a network of support for a longer term. I am passionate about creating increased avenues of accessibility to food and is interested in collaborating with others with that passion to work together to better serve the community.
Hi! I’m Jammica, nice to meet’cha! I’m a proud Norfolk resident, Urban Ag advocate and Environmental Steward. My passion is connecting people and planet through food in hopes of developing food sovereignty and equity in our city and surrounding areas. I'm a member of the Norfolk Food Policy Council, a FEAST VA facilitator and a Norfolk Master Gardener Volunteer with the Virginia Cooperative Extension program. It is my goal to help provide safe, high quality, healthy, plant based food options to those in our communities who need it most. LET’S GROOOOW!
